FOOD AND DECORATIONS:

We tried to create that old world feel since the story took place in Prague as well as many other exotic locations throughout the world like Morocco and Paris. And if you've read the book then you'll know why we also decorated with lots of beautiful  masquerade masks as well.

We littered the tables with all kinds of "teeth" and Prague inspired elements.

We had several pictures of angels and chimaera laying around to help bring Karou's world to life.

Here are some real teeth (not human) that we had on one of the tables.

We also Incorporated Zusana's marionette dolls into the decor hanging ever so precariously above the food table.

LET'S PLAY DRESS UP...

We transformed my living room into how we imagined Karou's multi-cultured apartment with Moroccan and Prague elements.

We started off our meeting with a fun 15 question quiz that Kellie conjured up.

Each winner received a wishbone necklace, a Scuppy charm bracelet and a couple of Karou's hamsas tattoos to wear!
Karen won first place on Kellie's quiz, Jenny won the Best Dressed award and Bethany took home second place on the tough quiz! Awesome job girls!

We learned about the author Laini Taylor

We learned a little bit about the origin of Chimaera's.

And we discussed many other topics for over an hour but this was one of my favorite slides we talked about.
