Bright Night Event May 7th, 2015
I had the pleasure of attending the Bright Night Event on May 7th this year at the Sleepy Ridge Golf Course. Kelly had been to their events before and said she thought I would have a ton of fun coming so she talked me into it. (But really it wasn't that hard to talk me into it.) I had been hearing such great things about their events and couldn't wait to check it out. They had a great line up of speakers and a fun dance party at the end.
Bright Night is a beautiful and inspiring evening for women and businesses to come together to celebrate and give back to those in need. The event provides a lovely interactive event for attendees to listen to enlightening speakers, engage in conversations, network together, enjoy a catered dinner and dance our hearts out - all while giving back to the community. This time we compiled birthday kits complete with cake mixes, party hats, balloons, Usborne books and small toys. These kits are for mothers in need who aren’t able to throw their kids a birthday party. |

Ali Fenlon of Sage + Harper spoke first and she was so funny and down to earth and such a great entrepreneur. She told how she got Sage + Harper started and the ups and downs of it all. But she never stopped believing in herself and what she wanted to create. We were all lucky enough to get our very own Sage + Harper bags to take home. I chose this one. At first I was thinking it looked a lot like a diaper bag and I do not have any more babies (my baby is 8 now) but when I got home I found it works perfect for carrying my lap top because it is cushy and I feel it really protects it.
Next up was a delicious dinner sponsored by Crio Bru. Our good friend and owner of Crio Bru Cassandra educated us on the health benefits of their products and treated us to a cold taste of Crio Bru with some coconut syrup with whip cream and gold glitter sugar. It was very good.
The delicious food was provided by Pizza Studio.
Before dinner we had a mini concert from Brooke White and she talked to us about her life and her philosophies and it was so nice to get to know her on a more personal level. She is such a talented and beautiful lady with her head on straight. It was such a joy to meet her.
Here is a little video of her singing one of my favorite songs. "Let It Be" by John Lennon.
Last but not least was the very fun Dance Party and yummy treats to snack on. They also had a fun photo booth set up sponsored by Cents of Style and we had a great time making fools of ourselves.
All in all I had a fun night and I got to meet so many wonderful people that Kelly has been telling me about that I needed to meet.
Until next time Bright Night Event!
All the pictures were either taken by me, Kelly or the fabulous Mckenzie, I am sure you can tell which ones she took :)
xoxo,
Kellie
