Calling All Shadowhunter Lovers

If you are a big fan of Cassandra Clare then you probably have read all of her books and if you haven't then you need to get reading, you have a lot to catch up on. This is her first series she wrote, The Mortal Instruments.
  Shadowhunters premiers January 12th on ABC Family.




They have also made a movie of this series and if you watched The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Movie starring Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower

then you probably were disappointed, at least I was. The chemistry between Clary and Jace needs to be the thing that brings people back for more but it just fizzled out and died. And I can't say enough about how much I hated Jace's hair. I was too distracted by its ugliness to fully enjoy the movie. So enough about me ripping on the first attempt to bringing this awesome series to the big screen. Let's talk about the new TV show coming out with all new actors and a new way of filming it.

I think these two below already look like a better Clary and Jace.

Katherine McNamara {as Clary Fray}
You might recognize Katherine McNamara from in her recent movie Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials
She has another movie coming out this year called Indiscretion. It's a drama, romance, thriller movie. She is currently single or says the internet.
Really this is just how I imagined Clary to look like.

Dominic Sherwood {as Jace Wayland}
Dominic Sherwood is English and was in Vampire Academy. Just picture him with dark hair as the dark and rebellious Christian Ozera. His current projects are Take Down and The Other coming out later this year. He was also in Taylor Swift's Music Video for Style

and he is currently dating Sarah Hyland (Who I love. She is so good in Modern Family)

Alberto Rosende {as Simon Lewis}
Alberto Rosende has only been in the TV show Blue Bloods. So you probably won't recognize him.
But I think he looks like a good Simon.

 Matthew Daddario {as Alec Lightwood}
Matthew Daddario has been in a few movies. The most notable one is Delivery Man. He has another movie coming out this year called Cabin Fever.

Emeraude Toubia {as Isabelle Lightwood}
Emeraude Toubia is a Mexican-Lebanese actress raised in Texas. She has done one other movie called Tattooed Love. She has no other projects in the works and is currently single.

Harry Shum Jr. {as Magnus Bane}
Harry Shum Jr. was Mike Chang from Glee. I loved that show. He has been in a ton of things. His upcoming movie is Crouching Tiger Hidded Dragon: Sword of Destiny coming out this year.  I am liking this choice for Magnus. I really didn't like the choice they made in the movie for Magnus.

Harry is married to Shelby Rabara. They just got married on November 22, 2015.
