{Book Synopsis}
In 1865, English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832-1898), aka Lewis Carroll, wrote a fantastical adventure story for the young daughters of a friend. The adventures of Alice—named for one of the little girls to whom the book was dedicated—who journeys down a rabbit hole and into a whimsical underworld realm instantly struck a chord with the British public, and then with readers around the world. In 1872, in reaction to the universal acclaim *Alice's Adventures in Wonderland* received, Dodgson published this sequel. Nothing is quite what it seems once Alice journeys through the looking-glass, and Dodgson's wit is infectious as he explores concepts of mirror imagery, time running backward, and strategies of chess-all wrapped up in the exploits of a spirited young girl who parries with the Red Queen, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and other unlikely characters. In many ways, this sequel has had an even greater impact on today's pop culture than the first book.

{Cast}
Wow there are a lot of Brits in this movie.

Mia Wasikowska as Alice
Mia Wasikowska played Alice in the first movie and you will probably recognize her from Jane Eyre or Crimson Peak. Her other project this year is based off of a book also HHhH which doesn't have a release date yet.

Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter
We love Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I also loved him as Edward Scissorhands. We get to see Jack Sparrow again in the next installment of the Pirates movies called Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tells coming in 2017. He has a Kevin Smith movie coming out this year called Yoga Hosers in July and its a comedy, horror, fantasy movie. Oooohhh in 2018 he is going to be in a HG Wells novel movie The Invisible Man. Can't wait.

Have you seen this video of Jack Sparrow meeting a patient in a hospital? It is absolutely a tear jerker. Watch it with a tissue!

Anne Hathaway as the White Queen
The Queenly Anne Hathaway first came onto the scene as a Princess in The Princess Diaries. She has since been in so many movies we can't list them all. Some of her most well known are Les MiserablesThe Devil Wears Prada (loved that one), Love & Other DrugsThe Dark Knight Rises, and Interstellar. She has one other movie coming out this year called Colossal.

Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen
All I can think of when I see Helena Bonham Carter is Bellatrix from the Harry Potter Movies. But she has been in so many movies we all love. The King's Speech, Dark Shadows, and Cinderella. She is currently filming 55 Steps .

Sacha Baron Cohen as Time
I know this is weird to say but every time I think of Sacha Baron Cohen I think of him in a banana hammock. (That is one hard image to get out of your head.) from the movie Borat. But some of his other movies you will know are: The Dictator , the voice of Julien from Madagascar movies, and Les Miserables.

Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum
So funny right? They do look like him. Matt Lucas is from England and has been in many TV series and movies there. He was in the first Alice in Wonderland and in Bridesmaids. He has a couple more works in process How to Talk to Girls at Parties and a TV movie A Midsummer Night's Dream.

{Author Lewis Caroll}
(source)
The Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by the pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican clergyman and photographer.

His most famous writings are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass as well as the poems "The Hunting of the Snark" and "Jabberwocky", all considered to be within the genre of literary nonsense.

Oxford scholar, Church of England Deacon, University Lecturer in Mathematics and Logic, academic author of learned theses, gifted pioneer of portrait photography, colourful writer of imaginative genius and yet a shy and pedantic man, Lewis Carroll stands pre-eminent in the pantheon of inventive literary geniuses.

He also has works published under his real name.
