I chose to moderate Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because it is one of my favorites from the series! It always has been.
We are introduced to dementors, transfiguration, Harry's godfather, Buckbeat, time-turners, and so many other things of the wizarding world!

The decoration I chose was a real rat in a cage! We had a real life Peter Pettigrew as Scabbers. It was awesome!
this book is also when we first hear of the Marauder's Map! So of course we needed one of those.

It was a little tricky though, because in order to have the leaves at the bottom we couldn't strain the tea. It made it a little hard to drink but the results were great! I printed out these tea leaves reading guides and everyone read their own meaning. Some people even got the grim!!!
Discussion went great as it always does with these ladies.
We had a laugh that when I took my Sirius Black wig off I looked like Wesley from The Princess Bride. haha
Dementors play a huge role in this book and we learn about the spell "expecto patronus!" Kelly had us all find out what our own patronus was by popping a black balloon, which was attached to a paper bag with an unknown silver patrons animal inside it that was our personal patronus. Mine was a stallion and I was thrilled about that.

I loved moderating this book and dressing up as my favorite character, Sirius Black! Not gonna lie, it was kind of fun having a mustache all night!
